Home African Caribbean 3 Jamaican teenagers and a Man Killed Execution Style

The nation was shocked when they heard the news of three teenage boys and a 35 year old man executed in March. They were told to lie face down and shot in the heads. This incident took place in Clarendon at approximately 9:30 pm.

The deceased known as 14-year-old Raymond Givans, a student of Vere Technical High School; Ricardo Briscoe, also 14 years old, of Garvey Maceo High School; 16-year-old Alex Turner, who attended Central High; and Marquis Hamilton, a 35-year-old accounts clerk at the Sugar Company of Jamaica.

It was reported  that the three boys were walking along the road; they were pounced upon by two armed men who then  forced them onto Hamilton’s premises, that’s where they were gunned down. Police believe robbery to be the motive but many Jamaicans find that hard to believe.

The residents had a different tale. This was what was reported in the jamaica-gleaner.com in the story. “Criminals execute 3 teenaged boys, 35-year-old man in Clarendon” published on April 17th.

The resident said the boys were walking home from a gym when they stopped in a section of the housing scheme to tap into an unsecured wireless Internet service.

“While they were sitting there, men came in the area and held them up at gunpoint,” said one resident.

Hamilton, who was sitting close to his house, was also held. The four were ordered to lie face down on the ground.

Then they were shot execution-style. Days later, it was reported the police had two suspects.
