Background
Following on from the successful Caribbean Food and Drink Expo at the historic Brixton Square in London and taking cognizance of the views of stall holders to establish a forum that would discuss and evaluate opportunities for trading with and in the Caribbean; CaribDirect Multi-Media Limited has produced the Caribbean Food and Drink Conference (CFDC) sponsored by Grace Foods UK.
Mission Statement
To provide an opportunity for Caribbean entrepreneurs / exporters to the United Kingdom to improve their competitiveness and capacity by networking with and learning from Food and Beverage merchants / buyers and policy makers in the UK.
Objectives
- To help participating Caribbean countries explore and facilitate trade and investment opportunities both locally and in the United Kingdom within the food and drink sector;
- To explore and establish new trade and business development linkages between participating Caribbean countries, export development agencies, distributors and buyers and sellers within the food and drink sector in the UK and EU marketplace;
To provide a credible platform for policy makers and decision makers within the food and drink industry to discuss and debate best practice, challenges and possible solutions, on an annual basis via a one day conference.
