Italian-born, JA-based reggae superstar Alborosie returns with a brand new single – ‘Unprecedented Time’, a powerful anthem versing on the current state of the world, searching for accountability and change in the struggle for equal rights, racial equality and social justice.
The song is also a rallying cry of support to those experiencing the devastating effects of the Covid-19 pandemic. His home country Italy, was especially hard hit. Produced and directed by Alborosie & Tony Fisher, ‘Unprecedented Time’ marks a sign of things to come for the Italian reggae icon, who is gearing up for a release on Greensleeves later this year. Featuring cameo appearances by Aston Barrett Jr. and Tyrone Downey of The Wailers Band and vocalist Sandy Smith, the video includes images ranging from healthcare workers on the front lines, battlefields, natural disasters and recent protests across the world. Alborosie emphasises the importance of mental health and inner strength in times of uncertainty.
