She also organised various youth events at her church which would include singing, dancing and acting taught, choreographed and planed by herself, not only did she love to sing but she loved listening to music too so whilst working in the auction and looking after her daughter in 2006 Deborah got a job working as a radio presenter for Voice of Africa Radio (VOAR). Deborah and her co-presenter Claudia Ama Myrie (AKA Claudia Ama Asare) hosted a show called young voices. The show was aimed at youth to encourage them to aim high in life and to show them positive role models during this time they interviewed various celebrities like Wil Johnson (Spencer Waking the Dead – BBC), Muyiwa (Gospel artist and radio presenter on Premier radio), Geff Francis (Michael – Desmonds), Nonso Anozie (Nanny McPhee and the Big Bang), to name a few both on radio and live at various events like Screen Nation, Miss Ghana UK etc. During her time at VOAR Deborah Met Christine (Kayisha) writer and director of Breach and was asked to be an extra in the pilot. She was then offered a part in the stage play in January 2011 and went on to get a part in the filming of the first episode.
