Ever since the recent lock – up of prominent artists, Busy Signal whose real name is Glendale Goshia Gordon and Vyz Kartel, (birth name Adijah/Adidja Palmer) the Jamaican local music industry has been a bit lacking.

Popular Dancehall artists, Konshens and Tommy Lee have been doing well in their absence but several people have been saying that they’re merely substituting and will never fill the gap completely.

Now Busy Signal who is known to put out some A-List Dancehall/ Reggae songs is back in Jamaica.

According to www.examiner.com, Busy returned on the island on Nov. 16, 2012 after serving his six months prison term in United States on a charge of absconding bail (fleeing the U.S before a scheduled trial on drug related charges in 2002).

Fans have been waiting on the artist to ‘touch di music scene again’ and have been expressing how much they miss him on his Facebook page. His page’s first post after his return to Jamrock was a Youtube’s link to one of his beloved songs ‘Reggae Music Again’ ! According to www.jamaica-gleaner.com, his first tweet was “Guess who is back! God is GOOD”.

In other aspects of his life, being back in Jamaica means he has seen his son, Egypt Knight Gordon whom Tanya Palmer gave birth to this July while Busy was an inmate in U.S. Now Busy can get back to making some great music akin to the heavily rotated ones such as ‘Come over’, ‘One More Night’, ‘Nightshift’, ‘Tic Toc’, etc.

Many are wondering if he’ll release  a new song called ‘Nah go a jail again Part. 2’…That brings up another heated topic among Jamaicans and the world at large, i.e, are the drug charges he fled strong enough to possibly send him to jail again? Will people discontinue to listen to his music because of his drastic ‘mistake’ in the past? We’ll just have to wait and see. In the meanwhile, Welcome Back Busy!
