Caribbean news. Caribbean Export Extends the Evaluation Process of the Direct Assistance Grant Scheme
Bridgetown, Barbados, May 22, 2014. The Caribbean Export Development Agency (Caribbean Export) announces the extension for the completion of the Direct Assistance Grant Scheme (DAGS) evaluation process to the Calls for Proposal to June 30, 2014. Caribbean Export published the Calls for Proposal for both the Accelerated and Regular Procedures grant facilities under the Direct Assistance Grant Scheme, as part of the Regional Private Sector Development Programme (RPSDP), funded by the European Union under the 10th European Development Fund (EDF) on January 17, 2014, with a deadline for submission of application on March 7, 2014.
As was indicated in the Guidelines and Application form, applicants were permitted to submit their application in one of four languages spoken in the CARIFORUM Region; English, Spanish, French and Dutch. Applications received in a language other than English, are translated prior to evaluation by our internal and external teams. Due to the high volume of applications received requiring translation, the date for announcement of the results has been deferred from June 6, 2014 to the new date of June 30, 2014.
