De Savary Has New Good Things To Say About Mount Cinnamon Beach Resort, Grenada, & The West Indies

| December 7, 2011

Grenada’s premier villa resort readies for seasonal launch with new General Manager.

The Mount Cinnamon Resort & Beach Club, situated on the glorious Grand Anse Beach, lives up to its reputation as one of the top 100 most enjoyable resorts in the world; according to London’s Sunday Times. Set in colourful, lush tropical gardens, this boutique resort has a mix of 22 spacious villas and luxurious apartments, all with stunning views of the Caribbean Sea.  “Savvys” balcony restaurant enjoys dramatic vistas of the azure sea and mountainous coastline. Cocktails, delicious food and friendly staff are complemented with menus of local fresh organic produce much of which comes from de Savary’s historic mountain plantation.  The private beach club, for resort residents only, serves drinks and BBQ lunches and offers an array of watersport activities and even has a thatched outpost of the resort’s spa offering relaxing West Indian massages.

The resort is re-launched this December following an extensive program of upgrade and refurbishment with marketing and reservations being handled by Elite Island Resorts.  Ms. Kisha Smith, formerly Deputy General Manager of Mount Cinnamon, has been appointed today as the new General Manager.  The delightful Kisha hails from Grenada, and with her extensive hospitality experience, will ensure that Mount Cinnamon delivers the quality, individuality, enjoyment and value for money which is the hallmark of a “de Savary resort”.

Kisha is quoted as saying “I relish the opportunity and challenge to fulfill the vision Peter de Savary has for the Mount Cinnamon Resort & Beach Club. I am proud, as a Grenadian, to have this exciting chance to manage this chic boutique resort on a spectacular beach here in my own lovely country”.

Peter de Savary, the well known and vibrant international entrepreneur, has been in the luxuryresort, hotel and club business since 1976 with successful properties spread over three continents and numerous countries.  They have all been different and individually bespoke to suit the local environment.  Quoted today Peter de Savary said “Kisha is an outstanding young woman and has demonstrated over the last few years that she is worthy of her appointment as the General Manager. It gives me great pleasure to promote from within the resort and particularly as she is a fine example of Grenadian talent.  Our guests enjoy the boutique nature of Mount Cinnamon and the passion, experience and enthusiasm that our family ownership inspires in the resort’s team”.

Grenada is a small independent country at the southern end of the Caribbean.  It is a mountainous country with rivers, waterfalls, rainforests, white sand beaches and turquoise sea.  Above all, it grows spices and with its small population has an exceptional history of friendliness and a culture that makes for a safe and unique holiday.
