Former St Lucia House Speaker Mathew Roberts robbed

Caribbean news. Former Speaker of the House of Assembly Matthew Roberts is currently nursing injuries to his neck and hands at a local hospital after being attacked and robbed.

The former house speaker was reportedly robbed sometime early this morning by an unknown individual. Reports are that he had stopped for an individual in Roseau and was assisting the person with a drop, who in return attacked and robbed him. Roberts was found in Cul de Sac and his vehicle was later found abandoned. He is said to be in a stable condition at the hospital. Article courtesy
