Grenada Olympic Committee

Grenada is among the 200 plus countries expected to participate in the London 2012 Olympics (Games of the XXX Olympiad) from July 27 to August 12 2012.

Members of the Grenadian Diaspora in the UK, today launched an Olympic Welcoming Committee to provide support to the Grenada Olympic Team, and to Grenadians from around the world who will be visiting the UK for the games.

High Commissioner for Grenada HE Ruth Elizabeth Rouse said she was overwhelmed by the response received from Grenadians in the UK to serve on the Committee. They are all very talented individuals from varying backgrounds and we look forward to this rare opportunity to showcase the best of Grenada with our athletes, art and culture.

The Committee will be planning promotional activities over the coming months as well as using their creative talent, to make the Spice Isle better known in the United Kingdom, and to the world attending the games.

The committee anticipates a close collaboration with the Grenada Olympic Committee, and will shortly disseminate further information and plans for the period leading up to the games.
