Caribbean news. For years Jamaicans have been running afowl of the law by smoking and being in possession of small quantities of marijuana for personal use. The fact that Jamaica ranks among one of the most fertile countries in the world for the cultivation of marijuana makes it understandable that consumption of the drug would be on incomparable levels and as, up until now, using marijuana was illegal, it preoccupied much of local law enforcement’s time.

As of now Jamaicans are free to use and possess marijuana without fear of harassment or prosecution. See video above:
