The Music Industry Achievers awards also known as M.I.A is scheduled for it’s 3rd annual staging on June 4th 2013 in Kingston, Jamaica!
The remarkable, red carpet ceremony that was founded by Nackesha Doyley in 2011 has a major celebrity following and is known to highlight some of Jamaica’s most talented and emerging entertainers. Past and present brand Ambassadors of the show include major talents such as Raine Seville, Seanizzle, Deejay Stacious, Flexx and DJ Liquid to name a few!
Nackesha Doyley popularly known as “Queenie” promises that this year’s awards show will be filled with glitz and glam and audiences should look forward to a show that promotes the artist of Jamaica that are often times not recognised enough. The show will be a continuing platform that embraces music and television producers, media personalities, disc jockeys and dancers! (One of the only awards show of its kind in Jamaica!)
CaribDirect presenter, director of lifestyle and social affairs Sherika Miller will be in Jamaica to witness what is described by many as “The most anticipated awards ceremony of the summer!” With 30 exciting categories, the M.I.A awards is geering up to honour Male Deejay of the year, Female Deejay of the year, Male singer of the year, Female and Male singjay of the year. Other exciting nominations includes Best dressed female and male Artist of the year with female nominees such as D’angel, Tifa, Spice and Gaza Slim in the mix!
