Move over lights, camera and action; make way for Caribbean cruises from New York!

So what’s so spectacular about Caribbean cruises from New York? After all there are several other cruise departure ports all over the United States of America, right?

Yes that’s right but, it is not by chance that New York City is one of the world’s most popular cruise port; it is by design.

Everything about New York is extraordinary; from its famous land marks, to its efficient transportation systems, to its superior dining and shopping facilities- the magic of New York City is like none you’ve ever experienced before and this is all a part of what makes Caribbean cruises from New York so extra special!

Want me to name some names? No problem. How about Grand Central Station- the largest passenger train station and the famous Brooklyn Bridge- one of the busiest in the world and the connecting point between Brooklyn and lower Manhattan?

Then there is the beautiful oasis of Central Park, the statue of Liberty and the crème de la crème, Manhattan- New York’s hub for all things deluxe.

Yes, this is just a spot in the fabric that is New York City and you owe it to your fun and adventure resume to reserve some time to see and explore this city either before or after your Caribbean cruise vacation.

Getting back to your cruise; here are some features about New York cruise ports:

New York offers two major cruise ports, the Brooklyn port and the Manhattan port; together these ports facilitate some of the fastest and most luxurious mega ships in the world.

Both ports offer adequate parking facilities for cruise passengers arriving via private cars. The average cost per day for parking is US$25.

And now for my personal favourite. Caribbean cruises from New York sails pass the stature of liberty; one of the most recognizable land marks in the world and also a great photo opt!

So, which are the cruise liners that offer Caribbean cruises from New York?

Carnival, Royal Caribbean, Disney, Holland America and Norwegian, are the major cruise liners that offer Caribbean cruises.

The standard itinerary includes the Bahamas, Bermuda, Mexico, and both the Western and Eastern Caribbean islands.

Most Caribbean cruises sailing from New York are for seven days, including approximately two sea days and two formal dinner nights.

Whichever itinerary you choose, once you’re in the Caribbean, you are guaranteed to have fun.

Each island offers a plethora of exciting shore excursions to both enthuse and entertain you and you can access some of them here.

Have fun on your very own Caribbean cruise from New York; who knows, perhaps you and I will even bump into each other onboard!
