They are great! They make you feel really special whether you are a person who is really angry at the world or simply depressed by your low-paying job or your failing health.
They know how to brighten things up and let you cast aside those unimportant things that “you think” are important. They will always welcome you home, irrespective of your lousy attitude and mood swings.
For some reason, unknown to man, they will never stop loving you, that’s what most people refer to as “loyalty”. They will love you unconditionally, even when you neglect them which is not good, but they always “stick” around. However, eventually “they” can perceive your love fading away.
They wag their tails, they run circles around you, they jump into your arms and even lick your face to happily welcome your presence. Nagging is not their best trait, they will never harass you about silly “stuff” and your back is always safe from being wounded.
They will never rudely interrupt your thoughts or ask you unnecessary questions, they will never argue or complain about how long you were out and where you have been. They will sit with you for hours and listen to your deepest thoughts even when you are not so interesting.
They are charismatic, loving and full of energy and it takes a good man to stand up to their demands and need for companionship, sorry for using the word “companionship”, It is not intended to scare men away.
They won’t play games with you unless it is fetch, hide-and-seek or rolling; and they are always open to learning new tricks. You don’t have to force them to show you love and you don’t have to buy them jewelry or fancy clothes to make them happy; they are every cheap man’s fantasy.
They will watch whatever you are watching and they will move to the tick of your clock. They are patient, forgiving and faithful, even when you are the opposite. They won’t be deceitful and they will “no doubt”, defend you with their life.
All they require is food, bath, occasional brushes, rubs, hugs and health care. When jealous, they never get too enraged; just make sure it’s not a pitbull!
They are sad when you are sad and will try their best to cheer you up. A better friend you will never find or have.
