Origins of this diamond nail starts with Alexander Pham.
One day a client stopped by his Images Luxury Nail Lounge, in Newport beach, California, requesting a manicure with diamond embellishments. He found a jeweller to supply the stones and thought other women might like gems as an add on to polish.
Three years on, the price of “Haute Couture.” which uses up to 20 2–3mm diamonds starts at $2500. “Gold Rush,” featuring 24-carat gold designs, will set you back $10,000 or so. The highest priced package tops $25,000, and uses GIA-certified diamonds.
Pham saw a three-year growth of 1,692.2% with 2016 revenue of $2.3 million.
However, in 2016 the company announced partnerships with women’s shelters in the Orange County, California area. Each month, the salon sent its most elite nail technicians to pamper and primp the mothers with complimentary manicures and pedicures. They also built an Emergency Room for Orange Coast Memorial and sends donations around the world.
Delia Dolor is an all-round media professional. She produces and presents television, radio and live shows. She is also a public speaker, magazine and print editor.
