St Kitts: Bank supports cricket tournament

CIBC FirstCaribbean makes donation to Regional 13 & Under Cricket Tournament 2012 Caring about Our Youth’s Future

Basseterre, 12 September, 2012 CIBC FirstCaribbean International Bank St Kitts
and Nevis has donated EC,500 towards the development of cricket in the region. Commenting on the donation towards purchasing cricket bats for prizes to the most valuable player from each represented team of the 13 & Under 2012 Regional Cricket Tournament.

Country Manager, Ladesa James said: “CIBC FirstCaribbean is happy to assist in developing and cultivating the region’s youth. Young people have been a particular focus of our Foundation from CIBC FirstCaribbean’s inception, so this particular activity is an excellent fit for us.”

She expressed the bank’s pleasure at being able to partner with the Ministry of Youth Empowerment and Sports for the 13 & Under Regional Cricket Tournament, and stated the bank’s commitment to providing continued support to this annual event.

Ms James says: “our goal is to build partnerships within our various communities in St. Kitts and Nevis, and throughout the region where our bank operates. We look forward to further demonstrating to the wider community that CIBC FirstCaribbean is here For What Matters.”

This is the 16th Anniversary of the tournament and participating countries included: Anguilla, Barbados, Dominica, Montserrat, Nevis, and St Kitts. Barbados won the Tournament.
