Dear CaribDirect reader, I am writing to let you know that the first of two 24-hour strikes on London United bus services planned for tomorrow by the Unite union has been suspended. The second strike is still scheduled for Monday, 22 September. If the strike goes ahead, it will be from 00:01 until 23:59. Night bus services in the early hours of Tuesday morning will also be affected; daytime buses on Tuesday are then expected to run as normal.
Buses are expected to be affected as follows:
• Bus services in south west London operated by London United are expected to be severely disrupted and some services may not run
• Some bus routes into central London, including the 9/N9, 10, 94, 148 and C1 are expected to be affected
Tube, DLR, London Overground and London Tramlink will operate normally but will be busier than usual. You may wish to consider cycling, if possible; walking may be an option for shorter journeys.
