This was done at the Carnival Launch on Saturday 9 November at the Palm Court Gardens in Fortlands Basseterre, which, for the first time in recent years, had attracted a sparse crowd.
Although all the events were announced, the venues and times for most of them were not and Carnival Committee Chairman Sylvester Anthony said they would be given at a later date.
The season kicks off with the Official Opening of Carnival on Friday, 22 November. This, Anthony said, would be done in the form of a grand street parade and would be followed by the events below:

Friday 6 December – Basseterre Alive and Multi-cultural Food Fair; Soca Monarch Semi-finals
Saturday 7 December – Islandwide Bar Crawl; Tonic Promotion’s Who Run the Dance
Sunday 8 December – Breakfast Fete
Friday 13 December – Defence Force Fete
Saturday 14 December – Carnival Foam Fete
Sunday 15 December – Calypso Semi-finals
Wednesday 16 December – Band Clash
Thursday 19 December – Folklore Avenue
Friday 20 December – Soca Monarch Finals
Saturday 21 December – Junior Calypso Monarch and Talented Teen Pageant; Cane Juice Cooler Fete
Monday 23 December – International Night
Tuesday 24 December – Calypso Ex-Tempo
Thursday 26 December – J’Ouvert
Friday 27 December – National Queen Pageant
Saturday 28 December – Senior Calypso Monarch Finals; Inception Fete

The Carnival season would officially close on Sunday 5 January 2014 with a Carnival Cool Down Fete.
